Dan Woo is Professor of Neurology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He has co-chaired the NeuroNEXT Education Committee and currently serves on the NeuroNEXT Executive Committee and is faculty in the NINDS Clinical Trials Methodology Course and has had a particular focus on career development. The goal of the proposed research is to facilitate the implementation and optimize the quality of clinical trials conducted at the CinciNEXT site for the NEXT Network. Our goals include streamline startup, enhance recruitment, maximize retention and optimize study conduct of NEXT Network studies. Additional goals include to actively contribute to the overall success of the NEXT network by participating in network governance, network working groups (e.g. focused on planning and implementation of protocols), in person and electronic communications, training, protocol review, and patient recruitment and retention efforts. The last goal is to implement ongoing training of new/junior clinical investigators/study coordinators to help them develop skills and experience needed to progress to more senior or experienced status in preparation for future NEXT and other NINDS trials.
